The Foundation María García Estrada has signed, in October 2008, in Salamanca, its fourth research line in its fight against Sarcoma.
The researcher, Dr Enrique de Alava, is in charge of the project which is named: “Mechanisms of initiation of the Ewing sarcoma: signs of cellular propagation”, that will last for 3 years, until October 2011.
The project has an approved budget of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND NINETY EUROS (100,390 Euros), divided into three annual payments of 33.463.33€ .
The group has held a Certificate of Quality (ISO 9001:2000) since 2007 to undertake projects of investigations in molecular pathology of sarcomas and other tumours. One of the objectives of the programme of Quality is to advance the training of the researchers.
